Linux Terminal Server Project or LTSP is our new PLAN for IOTA. So I downloaded KIWI-LTSP on installed that on openSUSE 11 with no problem using 1-click feature. More details about installation can be found here http://en.opensuse.org/LTSP . I started the server. After installation I used another laptop and enabled network booting from the BIOS. It booted from the LTSP server initially but after sometime it stopped and it was searching for some configuration files. Then I went to the #opensuse-kiwi channel on Freenode (IRC) and asked about it. Later I figured out that it was the switch which was troubling me. Actually I am on my college LAN with another DHCP server running which might be interfering with the KIWI’s DHCP server.
I was bored up with the green wallpaper of openSUSE which once I found very good. I decided to get some new ones. I browsed a few at http://art4linux.org. They have a huge collection of wallpapers , themes and login screens as well.
Web designing has always attracted me. Moreover websites have become more advanced over the time with the arrival of new technologies like ajax and frames. They have become lively like desktop applications. So I also wanted to learn these. During summer vacations I learned a little bit of PHP. It was so simple that withing 2 days I had started to design basic pages like login etc.
Was very busy these days. To begin with Microsoft visited our college for interns for the first time and I could not even clear the written. I was really shocked with my performance. This really showed me how important coding was which I had lest for quite some time! I have realized this and have started coding at an online judge SPOJ. And after solving some problems I am a little relieved. I have started to code in C++ now which i had left after entering in this college. I will have to read STL also.
GIT is another software used for version control as SVN or CVS. Today when I was at gym Shreyank requested me to find out a possible solution for using GIT as he saw what I had posted earlier to use SVN and Pidgin. He was really very happy to see Pidgin working.
